The Greek philosopher Thales of Miletus made the first observation of static electricity, by rubbing amber against objects as fur or steel. The word ‘electricity’ is based on the Greek word for amber, ‘electron’.

The company came up with the name ‘Pumpkin(which, in the Korean language(호박, ho-bak), a homonym for amber)’ to make a broader appeal for domestic customers.
